Identifying Windows Versions

Here is a guide to show you how to find out which version of Windows you have installed.

Click Start and Run. Type in WINVER into the Open text box.

A window will open showing you the version of Windows that you have installed. The version number is not complete though, and just gives you a general idea of the version. For the full version number follow the steps below. Because Windows comes in many different versions its important that you note down the full version number, including any numbers or letters. Click the OK button.
