Internet Mail Setup

Click on the "Start Button" in the lower left corner of the desktop. Then slide up to "Programs" and over to "Internet Mail" and click.

If your "Internet Mail" has never been setup before it will open the window that you see to the left.  Just click on the next button at the bottom of the window.

  If the program window opens jump over the next four frames of this page.

In the next window type your name in the first field. Then click in the bottom field and type in your e-mail address. This will have been given to you by TekSavvy. Then click on the next button at the bottom of the page.

In the next window type in mail.teksavvy.com in top field. Then click in the bottom field and type in smtp.teksavvy.com Make sure you do so in all lowercase letters with no spaces. Then click next at the bottom of this window.

In the Email Account field type in your user_name in lowercase. In the bottom field type in your password, (This will have been given to you by TekSavvy, and will be lower and upper case.) Click next at the bottom of the window.

Make sure that there is a black dot to the left of "I use a modem to access my email." Place the name you used for the TekSavvy dialer in the bottom field and click next at the bottom of the window. Then click "Finish" at the bottom of the last page. This will help you setup "Internet Mail" if it has already been setup.

If "Internet Mail" has already been setup, it will open the program window. In the Program window, click on "Mail" in the upper left-hand corner of the window, then down to "Options" and click.

The next window should look close to the window to the left. Click on the tab at the top named "Server."

Now fill in the fields like the window to the left. In the "Name" field type your name. In the Email Address field type in your email address in lower case, with no spaces. (smith@teksavvy.com etc..) In the POP3 Account field type in your username in lower case. (smith etc..) In the "Password" field type in the password that was given to you by TekSavvy. Now click on the tab named "Connection" at the top of the window.

In the next window, place a black dot to the left of: "I use a modem to access my e-mail," and place the dialup networking name you setup for TekSavvy in the blank field at the bottom of the window. Click "OK" at the bottom of the window. Your "Internet Mail" is now setup. All done! Internet Mail should be set up for your email.
