With new CRTC tariffs in effect, TekSavvy remains Internet service value leader
February 3rd, 2012. Chatham, Ontario.
Now that the CRTC-imposed wholesale price increases have taken effect as of February 1, TekSavvy Solutions Inc. (“TekSavvy”), one of Canada’s leading independent Internet service providers, is pleased to announce that it remains Canada’s Internet service value leader. TekSavvy, which was the first to announce price changes necessitated by the new tariffs announced in November, has now reviewed competing price adjustments and believes it continues to offer the best value in Internet service for Canadian consumers.
TekSavvy is delighted to provide an expansive range of both DSL and cable Internet plans for Ontario customers, and DSL Internet plans for Quebec customers. TekSavvy also announces a new and innovative two-month rolling average for overage charges. The two-month rolling average will ensure that customers are simply charged the difference between their 300 GB plan and the unlimited plan if they go over their package allotment two months in a row.
“We have always aimed to provide Canadians with the best service and the most usage at the most competitive prices, and we are pleased to see that we remain the industry leader,” said Marc Gaudrault, TekSavvy’s CEO. “Sticking to those principles, and developing innovative strategies like off-peak unlimited free usage, reflects the mission stated in our motto: to be Canada’s Choice.”
In reviewing competing ISP offerings, TekSavvy believes it continues to offer an unmatched combination of (i) numerous packages tailored to the speed and usage requirements of consumers, (ii) 300GB and unlimited usage choices as a standard feature, (iii) prompt, comprehensive, “human” service, and (iv) no-contract, no small print angles, all at virtually unbeatable prices.
